May is National Strawberry Month Sweet and bright, we eat them fresh out of the garden, blend them in smoothies, add them to parfaits and bake them into pies. Did you know Strawberries belong to the rose family and reproduce from runners, not seeds. There are over 400 different varieties, and each berry produces approximately 200 seeds on the outside of the fruit. They're nutritious, low in sugar and excellent sources of vitamins C and K. Yum, can you say, “Strawberry Shortcake?”

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife of 17 years, Nikki, and our two children, Mason and Nyla.

My hobbies include golf, cooking, traveling, and flying as a private pilot. I am also an active member of the Pismo Beach/5 Cities Rotary Club and the South County Chamber of Commerce.
